Studio Hájek - Hulín

assistant professor

Student projects often go beyond research and theory. The Anastomosis research project was awarded the CTU Junior (III Degree) Rector’s Award for applying the results of research work in practice. The Care (Sorge) for Architecture project was selected in the competition for the building of the national pavilion of the Czech and Slovak Republics at the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2016. The utopian city Urbo Kune, designed by students for the rock quarry in Zbraslav, was the inspiration for the science fiction novel of the same name by writer Miloš Urban.

Currently, the studio is collaborating on an extensive international research project of an Iconic Ruin, involving with the legacy of architecture and urban planning in the second half of the last century. At the same time, we are working on projects concerning the real, contemporary problems in Prague.
