Restoration of the Courtyard of the Stránov Castle

The content of this project documentation is the courtyard of the Stránov castle. The castle is located in the village Jizerní Vtelno, 10 km south of Mladá Boleslav. The courtyard used to function as a farmyard, and there are still visible signs of peasant character. The coutryard is surrounded by buildings or fencing around the entire perimeter, and thus forms a closed unit. The only access road to the castle leads from the village through courtyard. The project emphasizes the connection between the castle and everyday life. The space is designed for the stay of castle guests, but also residents of the courtyard and people from the village. The water features will be restored, and they will become the main program of the site
