Recreational and educational centre at lake Milada

The aim of this thesis is to design recreational and educational center for children and adolescents who are at risk of social exclusion due to a lack of education or work habits. The main principle of the center resides in providing a temporary accommodation of participants and a consequent guidance towards acquiring work habits and a general sense of responsibility. Several jobs have been proposed where under the guidance of professionals the participants will learn a particular profession. The place can also serve as a relaxation center for people with disabilities. Furthermore, there is space for holding public events such as markets or fairs. The project is located in the Usti region at Lake Milada which was created by a hydric reclamation of a former brown coal mine.
