JIZERNÍ VTELNO - PUBLIC SPACE OF RURAL ENVIRONMENT

The diploma thesis deals with public spaces in a contemporary rural environment on the example of the Central Bohemian village Jizerní Vtelno. The thesis presents a definition and differentiation of the current public space of the village and a proposal for improving the current state of the public spaces of the village, both in the residential and rural area. As a result of the planned relocation of the first class road running through the centre of the village, the proposal focuses on new opportunities for the use of public spaces. The thesis focuses in more detail on the design of the village square and the former Cherry Orchard. It highlights the problematic elements in the village and offers possible solutions to improve the permeability and livability of the area.
