HOUSE OF SPORTS AT KAMPA

The diploma thesis addresses the problem of the degraded courtyard of Hous of Tyrš and Palace of Michna, as the headquarters of the Sokol organization. Today, the courtyard serves only as a parking lot, although it previously served as a summer sports ground. The thesis searches answers to questions about a densification of sports in the historical context of Malá Strana and the dialogue with the existing surrounding structure of buildings and public space. The result is an open pavilion, gazebo, parasol, which continues the tradition of the summer sports ground, but today open to everyone.
