Abstract This thesis addresses the design of a hotel complex in a mountainous area, aimed at providing seasonal accommodation in apartments for a winter resort with skiing opportunities, year-round tourism, and numerous other attractions in the embrace of nature outside the city. The main objective of the project is to create an accommodation facility that is not only functional and aesthetically appealing but also contributes to the development of the locality and promotes tourism. The research part of the thesis includes a SWOT analysis, identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with the location and construction of apartments within the hotel multi-complex. Furthermore, the positive and negative impacts on the surrounding development and the recreational potential of the area were analyzed. As part of the project, an extensive economic study of the financial efficiency of the project was conducted using residual analysis. The methods used include data analysis, interviews with experts in tourism and architecture, field research of the location, and the use of software tools for modeling and visualizing the design. The main conclusion of this thesis is that the proposed project harmoniously fits into the given location and contributes to its development. High-quality architecture positively influences the locality, supports tourism, and the overall development of the area. This project demonstrates that a well-designed and executed hotel complex can significantly enhance the attractiveness and economic potential of the mountainous region, thanks to the possibility of year-round stays in the apartments.
