I perceive the Pragovka area as a meeting point of people who see the world in a different light compared to others. Once typical blue collar quarter draws the attention of modern artists, fashion designers and photographers nowadays. Such image ultimately led me to designing alternative form of living sought after by the residents which fits perfectly into the neighbourhood – Co-living Pragovka. Typical long halls we usually find in housing for the young were intentionally left out as they evoke the feeling of an asylum rather than proper home. Poslali jste The "Coliving Pragovka" complex consists of two identical buildings, creating a tranquil public space between them. Both buildings consist of four modules interconnected on the second floor. These modules represent the private part of the building, with service rooms on the ground floor and small apartments on the upper floors. Each module also has its own communication core. In contrast, the second floor serves as a central gathering and sharing area. Here, you'll find a large communal space, shared study corners, laundry facilities, and workshops. This way, each resident can choose the extent to which they want to engage in communal living.
