Annotation

The design presents the possibilities of restoring the territory of the ČSA large coal mine in the North Bohemian lignite basin below the Jezeří Castle after the end of surface mining in the coming years. The presented concept in an alternative to the intents, already approved at the local, regional and state level and also reflect other topics that have not been taken into account so far or to an insufficient extent - for example, the restoration of some of the 9 defunct municipalities, the recreational potential of the revived Komořany Lake, strengthening of the transport infrastructure in the region, in some cases, on the contrary, the approved concept is followed up (the national natural monument ČSA quarry or the location of a photovoltaic power plant). Part of the work is dedicated to the rescue and new use of the RK5000 bucket excavator, for which a new location and use as a museum, exhibition, and conference centre as well as a view of the gradually renewing territory is designed.
