Extinction Museum

Young Architects Competitions, together with the WWF, have launched a competition to design the Extinction Museum. The project is an urgent response to disturbing information about life on our planet, where 69% of wild animal species have been lost in the last 50 years. This confirms an irrefutable figure: a new mass extinction is taking place, and humanity is the cause. However, if humans has started it, they can also stop it. The Extinction Museum project aims to inform humanity about the impending sixth mass extinction of life and to leave visitors with a sense of the need to act and avert human action resulting in mass extinction. The Dimploma Seminar analyzes the data needed to informed project design. It also explores the use of AI ChatGPT and MidJourney in architecture.
