ENCOUNTER OF TWO WORDS - RADOTÍN QUARRIES

The goal of my work is a proposal for the reclamation of the Radotín quarries, which in the past greatly affected the appearance the present form of the Radotín Valley and created an impenetrable barrier in the territory. Surface mining (open pits) results in the most visible and dramatic changes to the landscape. There are large areas deprived of vegetation cover, there is disturbance and loss of forests, habitat and displacement of people. These processes they can also disturb water sources and riverbeds. The result of the thesis will be reclamation Radotín quarries, which will become part of the public space of Radotín. Quarries after mining they will open up the material again not only to people, but also to fauna and flora.
