LIBEREC CITY FOR CHILDREN

The diploma thesis deals with the public space of the city of Liberec with a focus on children. The thesis is conceived as a manual on how to transform cities dominated by car traffic into cities that are friendly not only to children, but also to citizens in general. The work was based on the findings of the analysis of the current state of playgrounds with accessibility analysis, which helped to select ideal design locations. The individual designs that are interspersed throughout the manual serve mainly as inspiration for how different places in different locations and contexts can be approached.
