Královka Library

Annotation

City libraries in Prague often have inadequate spaces for its function. The Břevnov City Library is one of them. Small space in ground floor and basement of an apartment building with almost zero daylight is disrespectful for the library function in my opinion. That is why I am proposing a new lighted library building on the unused land of the Královka tram loop. The library on Královka has 3 functional floors for visitors and an archive with workshops for the restoration of books on the ground floor. Part of the library complex is also a café in the main entrance, gallery that leads through into an outdoor terrace, and a multi-functional hall that is connected to the entrance building and the library by underground passages.
