Annotation

The Mountain range research station is located near ruins of the former "Jestřábí boudy" cottages and it will be used to research the unique biome of the Krkonoše National park. It's also equipped with a telescope, thanks to the fabourable lightning conditions at night, and meteorological station. It also serves as habitation for people employed here. Local history was a key factor for inspiration for designing this building, as seen in the low, wooden form of the habitational section, insired by the "Jestřábí Boudy" cottages, and in the imposing raised laboratories, impersonating the long gone fortification.
