Students proposed the revitalization of the granary in Tábor - Měšice

A four-day workshop on the future use of this building, originally intended for grain storage, was held in the granary in Tábor - Měšice from 24. to 27. 9. 2020. It was attended by a total of 21 students of the Faculty of Architecture of the CTU, who, under the guidance of Associate Professor Hana Seho from the Department of Architectural Design II, prepared proposals for the transformation of the former granary into a community center and facilities for local associations. In addition to building modifications, the students also focused on the surroundings and the involvement of the building's foyer and the adjacent playground.

During Sunday's open day, a presentation of the student's proposals took place, which was attended not only by interested members of the public, but also by representatives of the City Hall of Tábor. The five-member jury evaluated the best project created by students consisting of Eliška Bednářová, Klára Baďurová, Jiří Foller and Pavel Halgaš. The organizers plan to make an exhibition of all the designs. At the end of the event, which was co-organized by the Tábor Secondary Agricultural School and the Měšice Settlement Committee, the present Senator Jaroslav Větrovský promised to help the organizers in the implementation of their plan.
