Cutting, carving, planing

The participants of the student workshop entitled Wood – Ancient and Contemporary Material for Architects learned to understand wood as a living material and tried out the production methods of our ancestors by the method of "learning by doing". Under the guidance of the experienced lecturer Robert Malý, carver Anna Tomanová and teacher Pavel Ullmann, our students tried their hand at working with a saw, axe, planer and chisel on the farm in Horní Plané and made garden furniture for a home for the elderly. This was taken over by its director Miriam Marušková.
