F. X. Šalda Theatre Extention Liberec

The building is situated in the historical centre of Liberec. The project describes a contemporary extension of the historical F. X. Šalda Theatre. The new building is connected to the rear of the theatre and spans over two existing streets. It houses three floors, that have different functions - a logistics department, a foyer and a multipurpose hall. At the end of the new extension there is a mixture of concrete, bronze cladding and glass material. It strongly contrasts with the existing historical theatre, however it also compliments the design and offers a modern attitude on a cultural building.
