Apartment house in the gap, Turnov
Annotation
The project deals with the gap in Turnov's southern city center. The new building steps into gloomy surrouding with the goal to bring a new life to the location and to encourage urbanistic development. The building is divided into four volumes, so it could fit into the area. The main building wing heads towards the Sobotecká street and contains six appartments and a shopping ground floor. This wing is divided through the approximate ratio 1:2 and the smaller part is elevated by one meter. The linkup of rear wing works with this elevation. The rear wing, together with the elevated part of the main wing, shares the stairs. The Rear wing contains three apartments with loggias. The roughly applied stucco is covering the facade. The wooden detail points up the windows in the clear facade.
