Timber house Benátky

Michal Králik

Annotation

This project deals with the reconstruction of a timbered house from the beginning of the 19th century. The aim was to find a solution to preserve the authenticity of the building, while improving its habitability and energetic efficiency. Ideally, to achieve overall self-sufficiency of the house, not only in terms of energy and water, but also in growing your own food. This is possible thanks to almost two hectares of agricultural land which belongs to the house together with the barn. The house is designed as a modest living for a family of four, following the example of traditional housing with permaculture design. Only the necessary modifications for the needs of today's housing were used in the design. The reconstruction follows traditional methods and natural materials.
