Art school with a multipurpose hall

The idea of designing an art school came from a functional analysis of the locality. In close proximity of the site, there is a kindergarden, primary and high school so I decided to fulfill this potential of this part of Prague. I tried to design a building, that would be a safe place for childern and teenagers and that would also be a representative center of cultural life of Karlín. The design includes an art school, a galery, a small and a large hall, a restaurant, a bar, a cafe and a study. The building tries to avoid noise from a railway nearby the site with its shape, and so it provides places that erase the borders between inside and outside.
