Market Holešovice

Market Holešovice is a city within a city with its own hierarchy. It has a boulevard as well as tiny streets, long halls as well as tall towers, dense urban areas as well as vast squares. Life behind the market wall makes for an extraordinary urban experience. Still, the market's full potential remains untapped. The aim of my project is to add a contemporary layer while respecting the past. The design consists of two buildings: a new library and a conversion of a former warehouse into a leisure centre.
