Project "Morning star" (Horní Jiřetín)

The goal was to design a smaller apartment building that fits into the village of Horní Jiřetín, into its surroundings and builds on the local rich history. The building consists of 8 separate housing units, with 2 of them are loft apartments. The iconic element is half-timbering made of dark metal running along the facade, creating a significant contrast with white smooth plaster. French windows then support the unique appearance of the building, giving it the name "Morning star", according to the amount of light the building will shine to its surrounding every morning.
