Hangar for an airship
Annotation
The design of the hangar is located in the scientific village of Ny-Ålesund in Svalbard. In the past, the place was important mainly as a starting point for expeditions of the polar explorer Amundsen but also other daredevils in the conquest of the North Pole. There was a hangar located in the village in the golden age of airships, and airships were used in these expeditions. From the original wooden hangar only the anchor mast has been preserved to these days, which proudly rises from the permafrost and recalls the golden era polar exhibitions.
