“Rediscovery” of the piped stream Lipnička

The project of "rediscovery" of the pipped stream Lipnička demonstrates the solutions of the present problems with drought, wind and water erosion. The complexity of the solution provides positive impact on the diversity of plant life as well as animal life. Maintenance of the soil moisture in the soil profile at the maximum possible depth is beneficial for the rooting and the subsequent growth of the vegetation in the area in question. River network together with all the vertical layers of vegetation suggested in the project form an imaginary "green ring" of the village Lipnice nad Sázavou. The importance and meaning of the project lay in the interdisciplinary cooperation of the landscape architects, botanists, hydrologists, pedologists etc.
