Morpeth Performance Space

The theme of the project was to design a café interior. This café is located in one of my previous design projects called Morpeth Performance Space, in Morpeth, UK. The complex was designed with the idea of formal and informal performance spaces, therefore the café is also one of them. The idea was to merge the stage and the auditorium together. Visitors find themselves in both roles, that of a performer and audience member, which is expressed by themed chairs representing different roles one could assume. The space also references stage equipment, such as curtains, semi-transparent tulle drapes, chairs hanging from the ceiling as if there was a second act as well as video-mapping, which floods the interior with colour.
