Holešovice – Zátory; Block 17
Annotation
The new metropolitan area of Prague is slowly developing on the north of Holešovice quarter. Urbanism defined by architectural firm Pelčák–CMC is deviding the area into multiple blocks. The block #17 is a major site of this new area. It's initiating further development by including important functions, such as transfer node, where metro, tram and trains are crossing, health centre, spa, office facility and most importantly – living. Living for diverse group of people, from students to pensioners. Modern metropolitan city area needs huge volumes, but they have to stay in a human scale while creating pleasant public areas for many activities, which forms city life.
