Stvolínky - revitalization of the village square

The essence of the village’s common revitalisation design was a formation of a sterling gravity centre of citizens’ lives of Stvolinky along with dignified entrance to the castle’s grounds. Nowadays, village’s common intersects a rather frequented road burdened by haulage. Village’s heart is initiated from a small parking lot with inappropriately planted greenery that suppresses the intentional composition with enduring monument and water tank. Those are now only evident from the little amount of preserved photographs and records in period cadastre maps. The prime resemblance was the source of inspiration for the design. The reconstruction of the adjacent houses’ facades is the integral part of this project. The aim is to show picturesque atmosphere that can be achieved here.
