Tobacco factory district

The task of the project was to find a suitable place for a swimming pool. Such a place should be within walking distance from the center and at the same time well connected to long-distance connections, as the pool will also be used by people from the surrounding villages. The most suitable place is therefore close to the train and bus station. Upon arrival in the city by train or bus, every visitor has a view of the impenetrable factory complex built since the 1870s as a tobacco factory, transformed into Tesla electric company after World War II. Today, this privatized territory is fragmented into small pieces. The whole area forces everyone on the way to the center or at the train station to bypass its walls around the busy Nádražní street.
