Kindergarten, Břevnov

The kindergarten is located in Prague - Břevnov on the sloping plot situated between the streets 8. listopadu and U Kaštanu. The parcel is facing the North, that's why the building is elevated on columns. The shape of a floor plan comes from the atypical shape of the plot. The building is thin and long and rounded at the Eastern part. It resembles a sailing ship. The mass is divided into 2 parts - taller + shorter one and lower and longer one. Taller part provides space for a gym and a cafeteria. The lower part contains of the classrooms and the service rooms. The kindergarten is barrier-free, there is a glass elevator connecting the storeys. There is a playground on the roof.
