Housing complex Žižkov

A site, that was left empty after demolition of Žižkov in the 70s. A site, that demands to be filled with, to become what it originally represented. The form of the house seems strict, organized, traditional. The house does not want to be innovative, nor modern. It is not interested in making jokes, showing off. Its task is to fill in the missing piece of urban structure in Žižkov. It wants to pretend as if it was built ages ago, simply to blend in. However, it has potential to be contemporary. The house is aware of the importance of its corner location, yet on the edge of the post-soviet Žižkov and historical Žižkov. That is the reason why the house has the bay window corner. With this element the house creates a connection with the past.
