PRAGUE CONGRESS CENTRE - ART GALLERY AND SUBWAY VESTIBULE

The main idea behind the project is to shrink, divide and to make such a vast public space surrounding congress centre a more pleasent place. I chose the spot with an existing subway station Vyšehrad and half of the terrace above the wall designed by Stanislav Kolibal. This place provides a beautiful panoramic view of the Vinohrady. Vestibule is designed as open as possible for easy orientation. Its an airy glass cube with steal construction. Vestibule connects a park, a path to Vyšehrad, a congress centre direction and the art gallery. Gallery is a strong contrast to that aquarium with it´s huge introvert matter made of concrete. Both parts are connected in all three elevations (two entrances and a balcony).
