MAIN STATION PRAGUE - SUBSEQUENT AND CONNECTING

The proposal works with the transformation of the surroundings of Prague's main station into a functional part of the city that respects its surroundings and connects neighboring districts. The basis is the transformation of the highway into a wide urban boulevard lined with trees, quieter car traffic and a reintroduced tram line. New park is located on the roof of the Nová odbavovací hala. Vrchlického Sady are narrowed and more clearly defined into Vrchlického Square, just as the area in front of the State Opera is transformed into Dana Němcová Square. The proposed blocks are based on the surrounding street network and do not significantly exceed the existing buildings in height. On one designed plot, I propose a city palace, offering commercial space, offices and apartments.
