Velké Březno - Ceremonial place / COLOR CASE

Velke Brezno castle is a 19th century building which was once accompagneted by a church, that was tore down by the communists. Today the castle is a fancy touristic place : this new activitie create an opportunity to recreate the church. But I propose to have an approach slightly different than building again a classic church. Instead the project will be a polyvalent ceremonial place : religious activites in first, but also musical events, weddings, exhibitions. Three concepts where used as guidelines : first creating something that goes toward the idea of an hidden jewel, as the castle is, hosted and dissimulated within its park. Secondly create a dialog with this castle, it’s iconic spike, and at create a unique atmosphere inside the building, different than the surroundings' one.
