housing for an artist

Building is located on Pragovka in Prague. It is an artist housing with the option of hosting an exhibit. The floor plan is a rectangle with glass atrium in the middle of the building and with a glass section, which sets out of the western part of the building. The floor part is widely open capable of hosting exhibits. It is connected via staircase with the flats and the glass section with its inner terrase, which could also serve for exhibitions. The inhabitans have acces to the roof, which provides a recreation area. The idea was to design a building, which will blend in the industrial setting of Pragovka. That is also why it contains a lot of local elements such as the window grid or the plastered brick construction. It will also serve as a bridge with modern architecture.
