THE NORTH GATE OF PRAGUE

The main objective of the project is to create a resident-friendly urban environment for the Prague 8 - Libeň district in the area of the significant transport hub Vychovatelna. The study takes into account existing projects of the city ring road, particularly their transportation concepts, including the routing of underground roads. The main idea of the study is to supplement park areas and connect them without motor traffic to create a sports and recreational zone. By adjusting the placement of tunnel entrances and existing transport infrastructure, most barriers (including noise barriers) have been removed, creating buildable areas for a local center and enhancing the existing residential district.
