Annotation

The area around the Vyšehrad metro station is nowadays an area with poor quality public space. The character of the area is made up by two dominant buildings from the end of the 20th century - the Prague Congress Centre and Corinthia Hotel. As part of the project „Completion of the Pankrác Plain“, new four storeys development is being built on the northern terraces, which will enliven the urban parterre around the KCP and HC. The concept behind both buildings is to keep the design as simple as possible. Both buildings are served by a central staircase and two cores. Around them there is an open space allowing variability. The facade responds to the location of the buildings - the chosen polycarbonate panels let interior lighting through and create another landmark on the Prague skyline.
