Library in Vlašim

The design of this library is located in the town of Vlašim in the Central Bohemian Region in the Benešov district. Currently, the main city center is moving from the historic part, which is around Žižka square and Palacký square, to the new center around Komenský street. When choosing a place, I considered this fact and I chose a plot near Žižkova square to support the historic city center. The library is designed as an open and bright space, which offers several nooks for undisturbed reading or studying with a view into the park and the river, as well as a cafe with a terrace and a lecture room. The open spaces of the library are connected by a circular atrium, which creates a pleasant connection of two floors.
