ORE MOUNTAINS - GUESTHOUSE "NEAR THE BORDERS"

Bc. Jakub Nekola

Annotation

The inspiration for the design of the guest house was the folk architecture of the Ore Mountains and historic buildings in Český Jiřetín. I tried to incorporate the house into the already existing buildings. There was located a mill on the site, it was destroyed after World War II to create a zone along the border. There was a market, but it was also destroyed. The main wing of the guest house copies the floor plan of the mill and it is inspired by the mass of the mill. The mass of the building is divided into two perpendicular wings. There are accommodation, restaurant and technical facilities in the main wing. The guest house is divided into 10 rooms with a total capacity of 30 people. There are a small wellness area and a small common room for spending free time.
