Annotation

The task was to design a footbridge that connects the castle with the former tenant farm in Mladá Boleslav. The castle, an impregnable fortress built on a rock to prevent the access of enemies. The fortress to be connected to the new part of the city, to the public. Suddenly it has to become passable. If the castle could talk, it would certainly not agree with it, but time is moving forward and the cities are modernizing. I think it should be a compromise. A connection that will not be against the will of the castle, nor the city. Here comes the idea of a temporary footbridge, which is not permanently attached to the castle. The footbridge was designed as a dial with two raffles that rotate around and connect three different places. All this using a fire ladder and bearings.
