Annotation

A design for a small guest-house accompanied by a wine bar on a medieval site. The irregularities and haphazardness observed are a reminiscence of once intense silver mining that took place in the city. The design aims to explore the opportunities of local wine in relation to wine tourism and the emergence of new opportunities in the city. The two uppermost floors are reserved for accommodation. Wine-focused cooking classes that make use of local exquisite wine production can be taken on the second floor. Wine is also present on the outside of the house, taking up and climbing the south-facing facade making its way up on perforated aluminium panels that enclose the building on three all sides.
