Rokytka

Our semester project was to design a civic building set in the industrial area of Pragovka in Vysočany. With the development transformation of this part of Prague, a new space was created after demolishing an old building right next to the building E of areal Pragovka. This space was left with hundred meters long scar, orientated to the south with a natural tribune. I came up with the idea of filling the scar with a natural lake, which consists of a deep part serving as a swimming pool / natural pool with eight lanes and a shore cleaning part. The water area is extended by the pool establishment and a separated bistro on the ground floor of the building, which uses the original foundations of the building to determine it.
