Space agency

If the tower has a power to highlight a place, why not place it at the intersection of the two most important Prague lines, the river and north-south highway. If a tower carries a symbol, why not embody with it what for the most of us is still shrouded in mystery, the outer space, and the related human ambition to explore it. My project responds to the need to expand the current headquarters of the European Agency for Global Navigation Systems in Holešovice, Prague, which will be transformed into EU Space Program Agency responsible for construction and operation of satellite systems. My project expands the original mostly administrative building and supplements it with research dedicated spaces and a visitor centre.
