Complementary and Alternative Medicine Centre at Bulovka

The design is a resultant of a long process of analysis and planning. The idea of incorporating landscape into the design was the most crucial part of the challenge. The group of buildings housed entirely different yet connected way of functioning. It was a necessary to keep them connected to one another. The site location also raised challenges regarding the drastic change of climate through out the year. It was important to analyse all these factors and adopt a suitable design criteria. The use of natural light and passive heating techniques surely does help the design to be more responsive in nature. The design ensures the best use the indoor and outdoor spaces and enhances the human interaction. A balance between build and non-built environment was achieved.
