BŘEVNOV COMMUNITY CENTER

Our assignment was to create a community center for seniors and youth. As these are two different age groups, community center needed to be divided into two different objects. Mass of the buildings is defined by an existing terrain. As the location is former quarry, steepness of the terrain incites us to work with it. Therefore, I decided to sink objects into the slope. Former level curves determine shape of the outlines of the buildings. Together with breaking in vertical direction they incite an impression of re-created rock.
