Barrandov Terraces Swimming Pool Renovation

The purpose of this thesis is to propose a renovation of the Barrandov terraces swimming pool. From the moment I first visited the old swimming pool structure located under the Barrandov hill, I was fascinated by the site, structure and by the rich history of the swimming pool and the terraces. The area is very unique with huge potentials and a special genius loci. The project proposal should encourage the local neighborhood community and Prague residents to experience a similar glory to what the swimming pool had in the past. However, this glory should be made for modern conditions and requirements, by adding new activities that is not excluding of non swimmers users.
