THROUGH THE FOREST

The project was created on the basis of a common vision for Prague 11. Its main element is a green net, connecting three vaste forests that surround the area. The proposal is a response to the issue of permeability of the territory and a part of the net. The project connects the Kunratice Forest with the Hostivař-Záběhlice Park. Therefore, it uses a stripe of free space around roads. Benefits of the proposal: interconnection of areas, possibility of migration of species, use of vague areas, pedestrian safety, expansion of forest area and new areas for recreation. The result is a terrain mass that rises like a wave to span two roads, absorbing the rest inside. It’s liquid consistency adapts to the existing terrain and and partially hides a building of a large shopping center.
