Železný Brod - Residential building by the stream

Železný Brod, as a town with diverse architectural styles, was a challenge to create a more traditional project. Thus, an apartment building with a gabled roof was created, following the shape of the nearest buildings with the use of traditional materials in a more modern colour, but with respect to the surroundings. The ground floor adjacent to public spaces is used commercially, the basement is used for parking. The initial concept was to create two connected residential buildings with one staircase. Both houses complete the surrounding public spaces and, together with the Žernovník stream, close the block. Between the houses, a garden was created adjacent to the stream, into which the communication corridor opens, with common room connected to the garden on the ground floor.
