The proposed building will complete the composition of Old Town Square, which has been fragmented for years. Based on the footprint of the original Krenn House, the palace will primarily serve the academic community. Together with the new Aula Magna, it will help create a new centre and a certain centre of gravity for the buildings of Charles University. The lowest floor is intended primarily for students, housing a study room and a restaurant with a café. The palace will be filled mainly with apartments for permanent and visiting university lecturers. On the top floor, there are representative spaces, a hall suitable for a small concert, a dinner for distinguished guests of the university or an opening ceremony.
