APARTMENT BUILDING WITH GRANARY

My intention was to design an apartment building that would be a worthy successor to the department store that used to stand on the plot. The big challenge was to connect to the historic granary. The apartment building passes through a granary and rises from it on a flat roof. I wanted the granary from the street to be brought to a more cultural state, but so that modern elements were not immediately known on it. And so the facade facing Masařská Street has its original face only with a modified ground floor. On the other side, facing the courtyard, the granary is complemented by new windows that do not follow the original very small construction height. The half-timbered extension of the granary is a repair shop and used as a balcony.
