The point of convergence of the school is the garden. Similar to the arcades surrounding a Temple garden, the concentric rings of the classes on the 1st and 2nd floors surround this inner garden providing a sheltered environment for entertainment and hands-on learning. Each schoolroom on the 1st floor has direct access to the garden. This way, I attempt to fulfil the desire of small children to explore the world and to be as close to Nature as possible, even to only such a small fragment of it. Older pupils are not excluded either – there are terraces on the roof above the schoolrooms that are accessible directly from the corridor on the 2nd floor.
