SENIOR HOUSE OF EMMAUS

The house under the Emmaus Monastery is intended for seniors who depend on an assisted lifestyle. The main idea was to provide seniors with the last place to live where they could function as before. The house is part of the busy Vyšehradská street, whose character is also created by the walls of churches and the monastery. However, as one approaches the nursing home, the wall disappears and the view of the monastery gardens slowly opens up. The first floor is therefor part of the public space. The layout of the residential floors is based on a community way of life, to which I attach weight - the center of each floor is a kitchen for residents, it is also an open communication space for meeting and relaxation.
